We know that the uncertainty and panic surrounding this outbreak has created concern in our workplaces, schools, and daily lives. We ask that you join with us in praying for those who have been affected by this illness. As Christ-followers, we choose to not live in fear (2 Timothy 1:7), but to instead walk by faith (2 Corinthians 5:7) and trust God with this entire situation! He is sovereign, one thousand percent in control, and was never once caught off guard by a cluster of microbes.
We also want to make sure that as a church we are taking smart precautions to keep everyone as healthy, protected, and safe as humanly possible. That's why we have taken enhanced sanitation measures for you — our regular attendees and guests. We will also have masks available whenever possible should you feel the need to wear one. Please be aware that, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and those with underlying health conditions are particularly vulnerable.
There are a few practical and sensible things that you can do in the midst of all this as well:
- If you or a member of your family are experiencing flu-like symptoms and do not believe it would be wise to join us on-campus, we would encourage you to stay at home and tend to your symptoms. We stream all of our services live each Sunday to our Facebook Page, and all of our sermon audio is posted here to our website and is also available on all the major podcasting apps and platforms.
- Wash your hands regularly using soap and warm water, particularly after making contact with people in high-traffic areas of our building. If you have children, be sure to keep their hands clean as well.
- Take this opportunity to make use of our digital outlets, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and if you are unable to attend a service, but still wish to give, please know that you can do so through our app or here on the "Give" page of our website.
As a church, we will continue to monitor this very fluid situation and take additional precautions or steps as needed. For now, we have chosen to continue to meet as our church body as a whole is well within the crowd gathering size specifications recommended by the CDC and governmental health experts. Please continue to stay tuned to our website and social media channels for updates.
"For God gave us not a spirit of fear, but of power and love and self-control." — 2 Timothy 1:7 [ESV]
